Individual, Couple, relational and Family Therapy
I work with individuals, couples, relationships and families struggling with a range of issues and tailor my approach to the unique needs of my clients. I consider both the interpersonal and intrapersonal elements that contribute to the challenges clients are facing and have an appreciation for the biological, psychological, social and spiritual contexts that impact their lives. I am a culturally responsive and affirmative therapist and value working with people of diverse backgrounds and identities.
YOGA–INFORMED psychoTHERAPY
This therapeutic approach connects two worlds: the practice of yoga with the process of psychotherapy. The integration of these two disciplines cultivates the mind, body, spirit connection and deepens the awareness of self. Through the practice of yoga asana, meditation and breath work, combined with the reflective process of psychotherapy, there is an opportunity to develop a sense of embodiment and foster mindfulness that offers another path to well-being and growth.
Clinical Supervision
I am an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Approved Supervisor and provide supervision and consultation for clinical professionals. I have more than fifteen years of experience supervising graduate students at The Family Institute at Northwestern University in the individual and group context. Supervision can be conducted with therapists that are accumulating clinical hours towards their licensure requirements. I offer a supportive and challenging context in which to develop clinical skills through mentorship, case consultation, and education. Additionally, case consultation can be provided to licensed professionals interested in deepening their clinical skills and furthering their professional development.
Insurance
I am an In-Network Provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Blue Choice Preferred PPO. With other insurance plans, appointments are considered 'Out of Network'. For Out of Network claims I am pleased to provide you with a detailed statement with all the necessary information to submit for claim reimbursement.
