Licensed Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (MS, LAMFT)

I believe wholeheartedly in the healing power of therapy. However life’s challenges may be showing up in your present moment, I can help you build a relationship with your own inner strengths, thereby helping you heal. Sometimes growth best occurs within the context of a relationship; in addition to working with individuals, I work with couples and families. I am an integrative therapist with a particular focus on attachment relationships and emotion—and with great gentleness and occasional humor, I will work with you on your relationship with your feelings.

External influences can have a profound impact on our internal lives. If you are looking to bring out your own voice amid the cacophony of societal expectation, and find a sense of belonging by your own definition and design, I will help you tune into yourself. Societal expectation can also be a disguised form of systemic oppression, which I am committed to acknowledging with a cultural curiosity as applicable to varying identities, all of which I welcome and honor.

Clinical Associate

I hold a Masters’ of Marriage and Family Therapy from The Family Institute at Northwestern University, which intentional career pivot was a heart-following, passion-aligning endeavor. As part of my clinical training, I worked with underserved populations in a Community Program devoted to providing care in nontraditional settings and modalities, fueling my passion for meeting clients exactly where they are. I am an enthusiastic member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Thus, it is with the utmost care and honor that I build a unique relationship with each client, with a commitment to being with you every step of the way on your journey towards wholeness.

People often feel distressed, helpless, or overwhelmed long before they seek or begin working with a therapist. I know how much courage it takes to reach out for support, and I applaud your bravery in looking to seize your strengths, goals, wants and needs. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, my intention is to help you better understand yourself and enhance your relationships.

In order for the therapy process to be meaningful, it's important to develop a strong, trusting relationship with your therapist. My goal is to offer and co-create a space where you can speak freely and openly, feel seen and heard, accepted, and respected. I work with individuals, couples and families who are navigating life transitions, emotional pain, and working to improve important relationships in their lives. No matter where you are in your journey, I'll meet you there and personalize your therapy as we work together to reach your goals.

Clinical Associate

I hold a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Through my training, I have adapted an approach that is both goal-oriented and strength-based, which empowers clients to embark on their own personal journey of growth and healing. In my current role training with Shayna Goldstein, LMFT, I am committed to the continuing education process and lifelong learning as I stay current in the ever-changing mental health field through workshops, weekly consultations and clinical research studies.

One of my favorite words is "transformation." This pertains not only to the vast potential that I believe every person has to grow, heal, and change their lives, but also to the power of the deeply personal process of therapy. Whatever life or career event that has brought you to therapy, you are taking a significant step towards better understanding yourself and your relationships with others. Whether you are hoping to do individual work or in a couple or family context, I will work with you in a systemic way that holds appreciation and consideration for the complex cultural and societal systems that encompass us all.

I believe that to be able to gain value out of therapy, you need to feel seen, respected, and supported by your therapist. I will show up to our work with a relaxed, non-judgmental, and open-minded approach to allow you the space to explore your inner world and the worlds of those around you. Together we will break down external and internal pressures, and enable you to build a life that reflects your values and desires.

I am licensed as an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist, and hold a Master of Science in Marriage & Family Therapy from The Family Institute at Northwestern University. At NU, I worked on and presented research projects focused on the unique challenges of South Asian immigrants and their children in the U.S. I also hold a B.S. and M.Eng. in Industrial/Systems Engineering and Management, which I used in my previous career in technology innovation. This career shift has given me the gift of aligning my passions and purpose, as well as allowing me to understand firsthand the challenges and rewards that come when attempting a significant life change.

My approach to therapy is informed by the belief that our experiences of ourselves and others are influenced by an interplay of significant interpersonal figures and systemic, cultural factors. I work with individuals, couples, and families to approach each person's unique and complex experience of life with warmth, curiosity, and a playful and collaborative spirit. In my view, therapy is a place for humanity to shine and connection to thrive; I invite you to join me in this space of growth and exploration.

It is my belief that there is no right way to live–only the vision and goals you have for yourself, your relationships, and your community. I welcome and honor working with people with any variety of identities, lived experiences, and relational structures to navigate the joys and pains of life. Both in and outside of the therapy room, I aim to practice cultural humility and consistently work towards acknowledging my implicit biases and the impacts of systemic racism and oppression.

Clinical Associate

I hold a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Family Institute at Northwestern University and am an active member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists. Beyond my clinical training, I engaged in research and gave presentations focused on trauma, self-esteem, and body image within LGBTQ+ populations. Prior to my therapeutic training, I worked at a Montessori school where I developed a deeper understanding of the Montessori educational philosophy. Additionally, I hold an MFA from the School of the Art Institute in Printmedia. Each step of the path I have traveled has been fueled by my passion for learning, creativity, and belief in the power of community and relationships.

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (MS, LMFT)

I am passionate about working with individuals, couples and families looking to strengthen relationships with themselves and each other as they are navigating various aspects of the human experience. My approach takes into consideration the various contexts clients exist within while holding space for each individual’s identities and communities of membership. I believe that change happens at the intersection of insight and choice and I aim to help clients identify their strengths while looking for patterns that no longer serve them to make room for new experiences.

As an integrative therapist, I draw upon a variety of models while always maintaining a social justice lens. I am a curious, compassionate, and direct clinician who places emphasis on feedback and collaboration to ensure you are getting your needs met throughout our work together. I strive to be an empathic and attuned presence to help foster a relationship where you can feel supported as you take the brave step to explore yourself. My hope is for you to leave our sessions feeling more empowered and self-aware.

Clinical Associate

I hold a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Family Institute at Northwestern University and am an active member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. Through my continuous pursuit of knowledge, including keeping abreast to the field’s most current research, workshops, consultation and my current role training with Shayna Goldstein, LMFT, I strive to create a therapeutic approach that integrates evidence based practices with the human experience of sharing in vulnerability.
